Using your DNA to find out about YOURSELF

Power to the .1--
By Stella Metsovas

By using your DNA (your genes) to create an optimal blend of nutrients, I can provide recommendations based on your Uniqueness. This data comes from the .1 margin found in your DNA. Using your inherent predisposition to figure out your optimal dietary activity, I can create the regimen that best suits your body’s unique needs. A simple swab test allows me to create a nutritional program composed of vitamins, food and exercise based on your individual requirements.

Examples of genes tested:

CETP (Cholesterol ester transfer protein), a gene located on the 16th Chromosome, is used to determine the rate in which the body is converting
HDL (Good Cholesterol)

MTHFR (Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) involved in converting Homocysteine (marker for
cardiovascular risk) into Methionine--improper conversion can lead to atherosclerosis.

SOD3 (Superoxide Dismutase) the antioxidant gene important in determining overall antioxidant
status.

VDR = Vitamin D receptor. Vitamin D is important in maintaining healthy bone mass. Insufficient
Vitamin D is also linked to chronic diseases including: Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), High Blood Pressure, Depression, Heart Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis
